What's It Like To Be In A Lecture Or Online Class?

For Family weekend, October 8 and 9, OIA and partners will provide family's with the opportunity to learn more about what the educational experience is like for students today.

The Offices of Instruction and Assessment, Student Computing Resources, and the University Libraries offer families the opportunity to experience what it is like to be a student at the University of Arizona in 2010.

Family's will be able to:

Participate in a lecture class where the latest technology is used to engage students. This 'mock' lecture will take place on Saturday at 10am in room 150 of the ILC. Prof. Fleming will provide an interactive lecture from his NATS 102-THE PHYSICAL UNIVERSE class that will provide families with the opportunity to experience the classroom of 2010.

Take a virtual tour of an online course. Meet some of the people who help students with technology.

See what digital resources are available in UA Libraries.

Try out the computing systems and electronic resources that students use.

This takes place at the OIA on Friday the 8th at 2pm and Saturday the 9th at 10am.
