Music & Sound Effects Library
LTS maintains a collection of Music and Sound Effects available on CD. The library created, by NetworkMusic, consists of over 450 CD’s all of which can be checked out by LTS clients.
Search the SFX Library Online (accessible from campus computers only) or visit LTS to check out the CD’s.
One example of how these sound files can help enhance your presentation or podcast is as an introduction and exit to your materials. Here's one from a nursing class podcast (.mp3) by LTS eLearning Design Specialist Bruce Cameron, with the middle content cut out for brevity.
Another example is to create a story (.mp3) using clips from the SFX Library. The only thing on this clip, created by LTS Media Technician Robert Behnke, that is not from the SFX Library is the dialog. "It is a stereo mix so it will not sound right if you listen only on one speaker (ie with one ear phone)," Robert said.
